Wig Care Tips For Rainy Weather

There are a number of different reasons that many people are starting to wear wigs. They can be worn by patients undergoing treatments for cancer or other conditions which could result in hair loss. They are also worn by many people who are simply bored with their real hair and want to make it look a bit different.

If you wear your wig all the time, then there’s a very good chance that you will get caught in the rain while wearing it. You need to know how to care for your wig in the rainy weather so that you can ensure it isn’t damaged.

Keep it Dry

While not absolutely essential it is a good idea that you try to keep the wig as dry as you possibly can. There are a few different ways that you can do this. The easiest would be to use an umbrella or coat. You may also prefer to wear a headscarf or rain hat. The advantage of a headscarf is that it will also protect your wig from the wind.

Drying the Wig

No matter how hard you try, it’s likely that the wig will get wet sometimes. If the wig does ever get wet then there’s no need to panic. Simply take it off as soon as you possibly can and leave it somewhere indoors to air dry. If the wig got dirty while it was raining then you may also want to wash it, but this is completely up to you.
